What this data doesn't show
- No bill-of-lading data. Nothing here links a named Vietnamese exporter to a named Canadian buyer — that linkage is what the paid platforms sell, and this tool does not have it.
- Trade values are annual country × HS-6 aggregates. Never a single transaction, never one buyer's invoice.
- Vietnamese exporter data is inferred from US FDA import entries: shipment counts with no dollar values, and a proxy for the Canada lane rather than a direct Canadian customs record.
- Named suppliers exist only for what the FDA regulates — food, cosmetics, and medical devices. Several top-ranked opportunities are electronics and machinery, and those will show no suppliers at all: no free registry names those firms. A blank supplier list means we have no data, not that no exporters exist.
- The Canadian Importers Database suppresses individual importer names for most HS codes above its disclosure threshold.
- The CFIA licensee registry has no commodity field. It lists Canadian food businesses — not what any of them actually import.
- Tariff data is Canada's schedule only, and only two columns of it: the MFN rate and the CPTPP Vietnam preferential rate. No other trade agreement, origin country, or destination market.
